Marble Run, Finished by batfish

Marble Run, Finished

If you hadn't figured it out, I'be been assembling this marble run, from a kit. It's over 250 wood pieces, and they all go together without any glue.

The crank turns the big gear toothed wheel, which picks balls up at the bottom and drops them at the top. They then roll to a staircase with steps that moved up and down like pistons in an engine, ran through gears, off of the same crank. They then roll down 1 of 2 different paths back to the bottom of the big wheel, to start the trip over again.

It was fun to build.
Well done

very cool. I've heard these kinds of devices called "do-nothing"s, which I think is a great name for them. I personally can watch marbles roll down all day...

It may be a kit but you should still take a bow for assembling this so neatly... and quickly too.

This was incredible, to see what went into your constructing the marble run. It's really a work of art!
