i've been up to my ears in red all day! this is a stack of the 17-page volunteer booklets for my boys' school that i've been working on for quite some time. they came back from the printer today and i had to scurry around and prepare them (all 450 of them!) to take to our parent orientation meeting this evening. i thought this shot of a stack of them made a cool shot for the theme, and it's a good documentation of the biggest part of my day today! but i'm not complaining--i LOVE our school. that's why the theme verse i chose for our volunteer program is from galatians 5:13, 'through love, serving one another', because true service comes from love. thankfully, we've got lots of parents and grandparents that feel the same way, because i always get an avalanche of slips from the booklet indicating how people want to serve!
that's a lot of booklets, brett.... whew... must have beena lot of work just carrying them about.... but make for a nice entry on this wee's theme.... love the lines.... actually soothing to my eyes....
It was a great idea for the theme. You are a busy Lady, and it does sound like you enjoy doing your part. It is nice that you do have so many people who want to volunteer. All too often there are only a few that carry the load. It's also a great verse you chose.
You're amazing in the way you give so much of your time, heart and spirit! Your picture looks wonderfully filled with themeatic color, and I like the way you said it all represents your day! I'm glad to hear you receive back in kind...I'm not at all surprised!
Hi Brett - great shot and great idea. I'm going to say that a lot this week as my fav colour is RED!
My wife volunteered for heaps of activities during the years our children were growing up and then through the early school years. I know she was really blessed by it and she loved helping others. Good on you!!
Forgot to answer your question about the parchment look in my photo, sorry Brett.
It was just a PS effect called "old paper". I'm not very clever when it comes to PS :-)
thank you so much for your encouragement!
