i took this shot yesterday (when the weather was pretty!) trying out my new lens before the football game. it's so rainy-blech today, and i've not taken a shot today because i feel pretty rainy-blech myself. so there.

kellyn, charley is sitting by the pool, so the blue background is the pool. but my new lens with the 2.8 aperture created the blur behind him in the shot. it's SOOC.

Love this! The colors go together so well. Creamy smooth background. Charley is perfectly lit. This is the best photo I've seen on here since I started 365 three weeks ago. Can I double Fav this?

Re: comment--she got the "rest" of her braces on my Emergency Mouse day, actually. Our Orthodontist does them in stages to allow little mouths to adjust. She has just been so sore and such a trooper--I wanted to make her smile today. (: It worked!
