This is another photo from last week's walk around Huxtable Park in Brisbane. It's a Buckinghamia Celsissima or Ivory Curl that is used all around Brisbane and is just beautiful covered in these flowers. This is just the tip of the long flower. The tree is native to North Queensland rainforest.
Thanks for your ref. to my photo. I've just caught up with this one of yours (been too hot to sit for long in front of the computer!). This is a spectacular close-up; doesn't even look like the same flower. Love the details that macro gives us. These trees are in full bloom around here at the moment, too, as well as in my garden. Lovely scent and the bees are everywhere.
