Come on then! by bella_ss

Come on then!

The roos come up to our back fence and some are so used to people that they don't jump away unless we get quite close. They always like to sit on the rocks for a bit of extra height.
Nice one Sheralee, we get the odd Wallaby here, but only outside the fence... I would love to see one inside the back garden, but they might freak out the ducks!

Nice capture Sher! They are just so damn cute!! wish we had them here in the states..

@bobfoto These are outside also but only a couple of metres from our deck. They leave their calling card in our front garden though.

G'day Skippy! Cool neighbours :)
March 21st, 2011
@bremi They are very cute Karoline especially when they have a joey with them

The kangaroos down south are much darker in colour than this beauty. We tend to have more wallabies than Roos. Great capture of this roo with attitude.

@murnane We get them all colours and sizes here Marg. When I was on the hill with the girls on Friday there was a little Wallaby about 6 feet from me. I never get tired of seeing them.

Nod
Cool shot! I have never seen one outside a zoo! I assume this is wild roo, or are they all wild?
March 21st, 2011
@viranod Yes, this is wild, no-one really has them as pets, although they tend to get very quiet in zoos and they let you hand feed them.
March 21st, 2011
Great shot. It must be so cool to wake up and see these beautiful creatures so close to your home and in the wild.
March 21st, 2011
@coolgirlsar It is Sarah, the grandkids always love looking for roos.
March 21st, 2011
ahh i would love to see a kangaroo some day! such cool animals, and this is an excellent capture! love it
March 21st, 2011
@abigailmarie10 Maybe you will have to go home via Australia Abigail ;-)
March 21st, 2011
Great shot for us yanks to see one "in the wild," Sheralee!
Is this one a bit thin or "scrawny"?
March 21st, 2011
We get squirrels and you get kangaroos! Great shot!
March 21st, 2011
That's something different! I think the largest wild creatures we have are house-cats running through our garden... What a great shot!
March 21st, 2011
That's awesome! He's cute. I would love too actually see one myself someday.
March 21st, 2011
Cute! And very "exotic" over here :-)
March 21st, 2011
Totally agree with @dinelson !!
March 21st, 2011
They are so cute!! It would be so much fun to have these guys running wild here.
March 21st, 2011
Very cool capture! Wonderful!
March 21st, 2011
How cool! I've only ever seen one in captivity.
March 21st, 2011
@rhoing No Thom, we've had so much rain the grass is laid on for them, she would be in very good condition.

@dinelson Yes, I think your squirrels are adorable!
March 22nd, 2011
Such a crazy concept to me! You talk about kangaroos as if they were squirrels!
March 22nd, 2011
@callalilla Well Kimberly, there *is* quite a size difference I admit ;-)
I guess they can both be pests even though they are very cute.
March 22nd, 2011
Sweet little roo. Looks slightly different to our eastern greys. Nice capture on that rock.
March 22nd, 2011
I've seen kangeroos in the zoo, but not sure how I'd react if I saw one in the wild! Wow, you were able to get pretty close!
