I've tried the Orton effect on this shot. I don't really think it worked. Michael Orton created a way of giving photos a soft focus look back in film days but you can also achieve the same thing with Photoshop. Check his website for some beautiful photos.

Lovely colors in the flower with a strong composition. What makes it for me though is the singular blue background.
