I was hanging out at my little waterlily pond looking for something for macro march. I saved two large hornets that were going to drown, they were caught amongst the lily pads and couldn't get out. I got a few shots while they were drying their wings and noticed this in my viewfinder. In between the leaves and the lilypad is the reflection of the sky but somehow the leaves got reflected like this.
@dannydavies Thanks Danny! It took me a while to work out too. The top third is a lilypad, under that is sky reflection and the little leaves are the tips of the lilypad in the reflection.
This is the coolest image! That you noticed the sky reflected there at the edge of the lily pad is spectacular. The most interesting thing is the reflection of the tips of the leaf in the water. Great capture. And that was very kind of you to rescue those drowning hornets.
