I hope you all had a great Mother's Day yesterday. We had a family BBQ which included the eight grandchildren. It's always lots of noise and lots of fun with the grandkids all running round like crazy, they range from teenager to two.
I'm really behind as I'm still babysitting and heading off in two days' time.
LOVE those doors. I think I'd like to see this more tightly cropped in with maybe just the doors or that and a bit of the cobblestones. Such a great location. So textured and cool!
@amandal I originally had it cropped in and then I liked all the colours, do you think it's better like this? Now it's driving me nuts because it's not quite straight, lol. Thanks for the critique Amanda.
Firstly, a wonderful shot! Love the weathered appearance!
Secondly, after browsing your photos and your Get Pushed shots I think I've come up with a suitable shot for you. I'd like you to capture two things that are in complete contrast. For example, light/dark or sunny/cloudy. I think this will be a challenging but fun challenge! :)
What a beautiful door, the textures and patterns and colours make for a great shot. Surely it's not in Townsville? Somehow I think of ancient Greece...!
@filsie65 thanks Phil, you're in the right corner of the world anyway. This was taken in a tiny village in Hungary or somewhere nearby :) I'm not home yet so can't check where exactly it was. I could find doors in Townsville that have been as neglected as these but they wouldn't have that same beauty that these have.
