Shell

This old store hasn't been open for years but I thought it looked like a good candidate for a simple b&w. Critique welcome.
Thanks for your encouragement so far with Flash of red February.

Fantastic subject for B&W! I am trying to find the gas station that is like your photo's.

It's definitely a good subject for b&w. You could maybe get more mileage out of it with a crop of a suitable part of it for another shot later!

This old building looks great in b&w. Lovely lines and character.

It's terrific -- an interesting building, My only suggestion would be that it's a bit tight at the top and if you were continuing to work on it and could crop with a bit more at the top, that might be worth trying. The building was a good choice as subject and I like the details of decay that you've captured. BW is very effective.

@taffy Hi Taffy, thanks for your suggestion. I'm keen to do a reshoot now and try that, I think I see what you're saying about having more room at the top.

I feel like I'm right there... and want to see if they would let this little shop for a pittance so we could fix it up as a studio (or a shop) of some wort.
