Mevagissey by bella_ss

Mevagissey

We walked up to the little village of Mevagissey. This was taken at low tide, we saw it full of water later.

We had driven through here on our way to Portmellon but the road was so narrow through the town that only one car could fit at a time so there were some hairy moments as we squeezed past other cars. Needless to say we took the long way out of there on our way back to London.
Sprvtacular!!

I had to look this charming village up, on Google maps. It does look to be a tiny road! How quaint and wonderful. I just love how all the yellow paint is beaten off of the roof, due to weather.

Spectacular capture.

@rosiekerr I think the yellow is fabulous, it's actually moss or lichen (I don't know the difference) growing on shingles.

Really lovely image.

@bella_ss Oh, for heaven's sake... looks just like weatherbeaten paint! All the better, that it is plant-based. :)

@rosiekerr HaHa ;) you don't have the benefit of being able to zoom in like I do.

We do not have high and low tide in the Mediterranean and this is always a marvel to watch boats stranded on dry land. Gorgeous capture and scenery.

Wonderful shot. Did you get a chance to go back to this exact spot to take a follow up pic when it was high tide?
September 6th, 2015
@rach_who No, I only took a shot from above with more water but here is @swillinbillyflynn 's shot taken just three days before mine at almost the same spot and one of the boats is the same.
