Warming Our Toes by bella_ss

Warming Our Toes

Warming our toes after snow-shoeing 1.5 km to "Le Shack" which was also on the property where were staying. It was fantastic, having everything we needed to make tea or cook our lunch. Lots of wood to burn, a gas stove and a frozen lake right in front. I could easily go back here again. The only downside was the outdoor toilet but at least there was a toilet... not really comfortable in the sub-zero temperatures. Under the snow is a layer of ice and under that another layer of snow. I couldn't move the chair in the foreground as it was frozen in.
This is for week 8 of 52 Portraits of Me - Winter

@bella_ss Sheralee do you live in Quebec. I live in Montreal
February 27th, 2018
@dora I love Montreal! No, I live in North Queensland, Australia, but my daughter and her family live in Moose Creek and so we have been visiting there. I can highly recommend this Airbnb if you need a little weekend getaway some time :)

@bella_ss I thought your bio said you lived there so you had me confused. So you are not far from Montreal. I have friends that live in Cornwall and Lancaster so am in that area often. Hope you enjoy your visit.

@dora We are home now sadly. My daughter teaches in Cornwall most days.
