52 Portraits of Me - Altered Perspective (Week 13)
Once again, I'm having far too much fun with these themes. This is a pic I've wanted to do for quite a while.
Kali asked how I did this on my own - I used a tripod, focused on the flower and then used the 10 second timer, noting where my foot was each time I didn't get it quite right. David saw that I was setting up to take photos and offered to help... I declined and locked the door when he went outside, lol. The flower was being held by my flash and umbrella holder, the stem fitted perfectly in the hole for the umbrella. I took 38 shots in total.
Also entering this for my Get Pushed challenge of selective colour although the background is not fully desaturated.
Hope you've all had someone to spend your Easter with or had a nice relaxing time.

Well achieved - I haven't yet been brave enough to tackle setting up for selfies - one day maybe? Locking the door is a good strategy I must remember that if I ever get brave.
oo la la! what perfect placement of the flower. I read all the descriptions, but still think it's an amazing bit of placement. Completely lovely result.
last year i tried to do this for the challenge. it was quite difficult to get myself in the correct position. of course it didn't help that my eyes are bad. in the end, composite was what i settled for. aces on this, s. aces!
Love this. It's a fabulous shot and an excellent idea.. Your comments made me smile too! I've been catching up tonight and have loved seeing your deer shots. Lots of favs.
you have a lovely slender figure :)
Have you ever seen the shot of the kingfisher just as its beak touched the water?
It took Alan McFadyen over 720,000 tries to capture it.
