Merry's recovering from yesterday. The rude sedation and nearly 6 hour drive that magically whisked her from watching crows and seabirds to chickadees and bluejays is rather confounding. She seems none the worse for wear and had a splendid second visit to Maine. There's so much checking to be done and unbelievably, her humans had the annual tune up on the gas fireplace on top of all the checking. She's very glad it's in tip top shape because the weather seems even colder than Maine and she needs warmth.
For the Record,
This day came in very cool, the leaves are still so green here, but fall is in the air. We're so glad not to come home to humidity. We're sad, but happy to be home at Dogcorner Cottage after a perfect visit to Machiasport. Downeast Maine is so lovely in October.
