Feverfew-- a herbal remedy by beryl

Feverfew-- a herbal remedy

I have many clumps of this beautiful little plant ( a member of the chrysanthemum ) which self seeds year after year . This plant is used as a herbal remedy for migraine attacks As a teenager I was told a, pick five leaves ,wash and make into a sandwich with bread and butter !! But I used to grab a handful of the leaves and enjoyed chewing the bitter flavoured leaves !!!--did they work ?? well !! between the feverfew and a sleep in a darkened room usually did help !
so pretty - beautiful
