An open Tulip

These tulips have given me great joy at each stage of their development and now tinged with purple and fully open --they are still beautiful !
At the moment a cold but sunny morning I am posting early today as I want to pop over to my friend and neighbour as it is her birthday . Jean is in her 80's and her children live in the North of England so she will have no visitors today . And then I am meeting my friend Mary for our monthly get together and lunch !!
