Ooh I envy you those pink hydrangeas Beryl! Ours always seem to be blue, acid soil, but I love the pink ones! Is that the corner of the lawn that was damaged last year?
@happypat And I would love a blue hydrangea -- in fact I think I bought this one as a blue -- but it seems our soil is alkaline !! No this is a corner in the back garden . the front lawn is still a mess and patch in the corner -- but I have finishes with the firm and I do not want to see them back again . The seed he put on were full of rye grass and Rod had seeded fine lawn seed in the front lawns and some rye seeds in the back lawn to provide a suitable lawn for child and dog !! ( this is going back over 30 yrs !) Aaargh !! I can spit feathers when I think of it !!!!!!!
@beryl how awful, the front lawn too Beryl! Bet your hubby is looking down & feeling cross! You would think they would know the proper seed to put down! You should put a piece of rusty iron in the soil next to your hydrangea!
