-- for the flash of red month . ( nice on black )
I love my pewter mugs ( I have one or two more ) I purchased them at different times in antiques shops and centres . The smallest of the three is a commemorative mug for the Royal Jubilee of Queen Mary and King George V - 1910-1935.and is my favourite with its hammer-work and was my 1st purchase . Metals are usually cold to the touch , but pewter has that smooth warm feeling and is very tactile . .
Such a blustery cold morning with flakes of snow floating around in the wind . Meeting up with my friend Mary and going out for lunch later this morning . I hope the Mitten and Mermaid with have a warm and cosy corner for us to dine ! .
Mitten & Mermaid, that is a very unusual name! You wouldn't forget that! Glad you got out today, we might be trapped in later this week with snow forecast soecially in your area. Nice jugs, I don't know much about pewter.
(Old pewter has a beautiful patina skin of itself.)
