In spite of the rain the BBC came up trumps and I had an evening viewing and enjoying a wonderful evening of a night at the proms with John Wilson & the London Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall , and performing - Bernstein's On the Town . We could do with a few more programs like this !
Brought back memories. My uncle played with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the promenade concerts for many years. Over the years he was a member of many orchestras including the Halle and the London Philharmonic.
