This is the flower of my new Hydrangea . While looking round the garden centre I found some hydrangeas on sale at half price -- a good buy (I hope ) as I bought two . one pink and another a much paler tone .Yesterday both were planted in the garden .
A beautiful colour Beryl, I like the pink ones better than the blue but I did think it was all down to soil acidity but perhaps you can buy a definite colour these days.
@happypat You are correct Pat -- All the ones around here are mostly pink of some shade or other - I did buy a blue one once but without treating the soil with iron it soon reverted to Pink !
So you have pebbles in your garden to keep the weeds down. We have just installed weed mat then chose 'forest floor' to put on top! I have also just planted an hydrangea - waiting for the flower to see what colour! This is so pretty!
@maggiemae Ha ha ! I do have got a small area that is gravelled in the garden but this poor flower is placed in the bucket of gradual fertilizer I was using in the soil around the new plant !!
