The fuchsias in the garden have perked up no end after the torrential rain ,and between the sharp heavy showerd today . They were getting very thirsty during the hot weather . What a shame about the weather as the prestidious Shrewsbury Flower Show is on today and tomorrow . I used to attend annually when I was the show secretary and the chair of our Wrekin Flower Club .as I used to take a team to compete in the Flower clubs display composition ! - great times and fun ( and tired out at the end of it !)
I love this plant. So intricate .Just started. Raining bad here .manifold show in Derbyshire tomorrow.which we usually go to. .then a neighbour has a wedding party celebration in the field next to ours.we are invited may have to go in my frock and wellies.!
Oh what a shame Beryl, I know full well how the weather is so vital for a country show...everything depends on a decent weekend, hope gate numbers hold up! It can make or break a show. Torrential rain here too, I do think everything is growing at such a rate though....plants hedges etc all seem to be romping away.
Lovely fushia and colours the hardy ones always give a great show every year. Hope we get no more heavy rain quite a few shows cancelled around here due to muddy and flooded fields.Fav
