This old oak tree is still hanging onto a few of its leaves ,but not for much longer as today was a complete change to our soggy wet weather of late , as I woke up to a cold and frosty morning . It took some time to defrost the car this morning , something we are not used to yet this winter ! I must get the garage tidied , so I can put the car in over night . I spent a cosy afternoon in the glow of the candle lights writing some of my Christmas cards ! Starting to feel a lot like Christmas !!
Nice capture Beryl, I wrote my cards yesterday and I am making the last 12 tonight. Was at the hospital today(back specialist) who is seeing me in 6 months, he was very understanding and caring. He understands my shoulders are another problem, so he laid out a plan of treatment when he sees how I get on in the next few months.
Lovely shot Beryl. Our garden is much the same. Next door's Copper Beech decided to drop all it's leaves after last night's frost.......all in our garden.
@craftymeg Hope all goes to plan Margaret , - it always seems to be the waiting game , doesn't it ! Nice to get the Christmas cards done and dusted and hope you haven't forgotten any one !!
I noticed yesterday how the oak trees were losing their leaves, all fluttering down in the slight wind. Our lawn is covered in leaves again. Love your framing here & the blue sky behind makes a pretty background.
The oak tree in my garden is still holding a few leaves, but only just. Every time the wind blows a little harder a few more fall.
Nice shot her Beryl. There will be snow on those branches soon enough.
Most of the trees are almost bare now after the frosts we have been having but nice to have a dry bright day at last. Lovely capture of the oak against the early evening sky. Fav
