Busily feeding

The sparrows enjoy a feast on the fat-balls - They come in a flock each morning for their breakfast !

I love sparrows. We get very few of them. In fact, this year bird numbers on our feeders are way down. I have no idea why.

So nice to see sparrows! We get so few around us, I think they preference certain houses with certain guttering and as we live in a hamlet of thatched cottages, they have turned their backs!

We have gangs of starlings invading us...don’t mind the sparrows but the starlings are so greedy. I saw on BBC news online that they are using lasers to get rid of starlings in Rome. Not killing them if course just making them fly off!
We have lots of sparrows too, nice homely little housewife birds!

Plenty there for them to peck at for a few days. I am getting a lot of sparrows at the moment and I throw the fat balls out on to the patio as I can't get down the step to put them in the feeder then they eat them even quicker.
