Treated myself to a new spice and herb rack - my old one only held eight jars , and the rest were on a shelf in my pantry , and I often forgot what I had . Now I have them all on the work surface in the kitchen in view and to hand whenever I need one of them ! -
@ladymagpie - Love my herbs and spices , the only jar that hasn't been used is the Crushed Chilli which was only replaced last week .- the old one being empty !
Marvellous! I have one which belonged to my mother-in-law, which I love. I must have OCD as I keep mine all in alphabetical order, so I can find them easily!
@busylady We all have our systems don't we - I have the top row of those I only use occasionally , middle row , those frequently used mainly in baking and sweet cakes etc , lower shelf - often in use in savoury dishes !
That’s a lovely spice rack Beryl. We bought one fairly recently which fits on the worktop. So much easier than having all the jars in the cupboard. Mine are all a bit haphazard 😂
I have a bit of a fear of herbs & spices…I long to use more but not sure when & how to use them. I would love to be the sort if person that was very familiar with their use & could stand in the kitchen & throw in a pinch if this & a pinch of that. I do use the most common ones but would really like a cookery course leaning about using herbs. Mine are in a cupboard …..one of those new pullout cupboards in my new kitchen.
Love your new spice rack. Mine are screwed to the inside of the pantry doors. I use a lot of herbs and spices.

A great treat to yourself Beryl and easy to find the one you want. I have a lot of spices but getting past there sell by dates nowadays as I only cook simple meals for just me nowadays.
Oh, nice! Spices are a problem. We don’t use them all the time and some get out of date and I don’t know it until I’m getting ready to use it! Your new rack is so nice and so convenient!
