Beautiful old buildings on the edge of the river Severn .The building on the right is now an antique centre with a tearoom . While the building on the left is the Merrythought factory and housing a small museum , shop and tearoom ! Merrythought is a toy manufacturing company , established in the 1930's and still run by the same family . they are a small company employing around 25 employees . The company specialises in soft toys especially Teddy Bears , all made using traditional methods and materials eg mohair for the bears !and so quite expensive to buy !
Interesting old buildings and lovely with the red bricks. I would love to browse around inside them they sound very intriguing. Lovely capture and the open gate looks inviting.
A nice shot of these attractive buildings. The red brick comes alive with the sprigs of green all around. And what a charming story of these buildings! How encouraging to know that a small family run business like this is still going strong. (I would love one of those Teddy Bears). Fav!
