The Park at Dale's end - no bedding plants in the flower beds at the moment , but all so neat and tidy and pleasant to take a walk at the edge of the Severn ,
A frosty and dull morning , Not very happy as last night my microwave oven didn't exactly blow up ,but when I went to use it it made a tremendous noise , so I quickly turned it off ! Just what I wanted to happen with all the mess of decorating around me ! So last night I searched the web for a replacement - and was amazed to find that now they have developed a flatbed model without a turntable - a little more expensive , and less models available on the market at the moment , So now I shall compare the ones available before going out to the shops (which is tedious as I can not walk very far - ! )
Lovely shot of this beautiful park. A real bummer re your microwave! Our freezer conked out last week which was a real nightmare! Fortunately we could store our frozen foods in a neighbours freezer till the new one got delivered.
"All part of life's rich tapestry", my Mother used to say, when set-backs like this happened. You have a lot to deal with at the moment.
But your posting on 365 are always enjoyable Beryl.
Such a lovely place, I’m enjoying your photos of this park. Oh dear I have to have a microwave. I like the turntable because I think it heats the food more evenly. I hope you can find one, appliances are so scarce right now!
Lovely photo and nice and tropical! Good luck on your microwave quest. Mine is 14 years old and I hated searching for that one, hoping it lasts a bit longer although I do like the corner space saver models now available. Mine is in the garage!
@craftymeg - So difficult to choose when there is so many - having been looking into the flat bed ones but still not decided whether to go for one or not - technology of heating quite different , and then of course the size . my present one is a DeLonghi in S-steel and is 20 yrs old ! so it has done well as it is in daily use ! aand now I am looking for one to fit in the same space !
Interesting about the microwave as I was really hoping to buy a flatbed model of microwave as the glass plate is a pain I think. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a built in model like that so have had to go for a normal one. If I were you I would bite the bullet & order on line! 🤣🤣
@carole_sandford ha ! the way I am going about it with my researching - you would think I was thousands of pounds !! But shall go out tomorrow hopefully to purchase - can not do without my microwave !!
What a beautiful setting for a walk. And I see there is a bench. I'm always on the lookout for benches. I love to sit and just take things in. Fav for the pic, Beryl! And I do hope you can get a replacement microwave soon, whatever model you choose.
Oh dear! Oddly, our microwave was also going kaflooey at the same time — crackling noise and sparks of light as though I had put metal in it when all it was was a homemade cookie that I was trying to soften up with a few seconds in the microwave.
We brought an old microwave from Dan’s apartment that’s been sitting on his kitchen floor ever since he moved in. We asked the landlord twice to remove it. Now we’re going to use it for a few days until we buy a new one. It’s in horrible condition inside but works and it will serve.
A lovely capture and still looking pretty in the Winter with its lovely trees. Hope you found your Microwave Beryl the problem is we have too much choice nowadays.
@mcsiegle I didn't realise how much I used the microwave in the event of everyday meal prep ! So hard going without it - A new one is ordered after a day on line to find so many models are not available ! I assume , the effect of covid ! Hope yours will be a success story soon !:)
