Yesterday afternoon the garden was full of life with the birds singing and twittering and the pigeons cooing and enjoying the seeds dropped by the smaller birds - even the Sparrows can be choosy and messy while eating . Around tea time - there was silence and I looked out to see this devastating mess of feathers - one less poor woodpigeons !! The sparrow-hawk had dropped in for his tea !!!Today it is still so quiet and still - not a bird in sight !
