The 1st of March and its St David's day -- the patron saint of Wales , A day to remember with our national flower , the daffodil . and / or leek as a symbol !, and of course the Welsh Dragon as indicated on our national flag ; So proud to be Welsh !!
My grandfather was Welsh and he spoke the language and the only thing I remember in Welsh is " go to bed " and how to tell someone my name. He took me to Wales for holidays when I was young and he went back to Wales to die - I loved him dearly and he was very proud to be Welsh
@rosiekind --Thanks Rosie , so many of us around !! and like your grandfather I am also very proud to be Welsh -- You can take the girl out of Wales ,but you can not take the Welsh out of the girl -- so true !
Happy St. David's Day! My father's family came from Wales back in the 1700s. So much of the Welsh Heritage was not passed down to me. I like to see Wales through your eyes.
