Day 73 - Out for a drive today and came across Oare Gunpowder Works country park (Faversham, Kent) The site is a former gunpowder factory known to have been in production from 17th century until it closed in 1934. In addition to the industrial remains there is a waterway (used to move the gunpowder around) which is being used to encourage wildlife, insects, trees and plants to grow. I can't wait to go back in April as there is a visitor centre with the full history. This family of swans came up to us as they thought we were going to feed them!
