Gleaming white!

Day 53 - I spotted this Little Egret over at Elmley Nature Reserve, it's the first time I've managed to get quite close to one to be able to take a picture of it! What I want to know is, how do they stay so white when there's so much mud around!

Oh great shot, I think they have a non-stick surface hence the old saying ----- like mud of an Egrets back. 😊
