the Magpie had the right hump!

Day 277 - We have been working in the garden today putting new railway sleeper borders in and removing the old bricks ones. The Magpies have recently been attaching our lawn (what's left of it) and digging up some sort larvae (my husband thinks they might be leather jackets larvae), today they have been sitting on the roofs watching us and making a right racket, when we went in for lunch this one landed on the fence outside our French doors and looked in and gave me a dirty look!

Beautiful colours but not one of my fav birds. They are such nest robbers.

A great capture , but like @craftymeg I have not much love for the magpie ( for the same reason)!!
