I was shooting High Falls from the pedestrian bridge over the Genesee River. (see the photo here A stranger walked up and said ‘there’s a nice mist from the falls for your photograph’. He then told me that around 9:00 a.m. you can see a rainbow from the observation deck. I told him I’m new to Rochester, where’s the observation deck? He pointed it out to me. He also told me how I can get to it from the bridge.
This has been my type of experience in Rochester so far. On my first bus ride in the city, I was compelled to call the RTS customer service department to tell them how helpful the bus driver was.
Update; 30,07,2017
July 29th concludes my fourth year on 365. I didn't always post every day, but I still have not missed shooting every day; that's...
I've only been to the outskirts of Rochester since my son moved to western NY. I had no idea it had a waterfall! So are you in both NY and Canada? I'm confused! haha Nothing new! Nice shot- the photo walk sounds really good.
@olivetreeann I'm in Rochester, and we have three waterfalls on the Genesee River. High, Lower and Middle. The middle is now just a dam for RG&E. Lower Falls is larger than High Falls.
Do you know anything about the building behind the falls? Looks interesting.
