Had a wonderful anniversary getaway. Saturday went to Alton Towers, walked around the gardens and went on a few rides but after Rita which from a distance while eating waffle and ice-cream looked tame ...far from it! Anyhow had a wonderful time.
Sunday as the weather was beautiful and only 10 mins from Trentham Monkey Forest went there for the day. Went to Trentham shopping village in the afternoon and ended the day with a meal at Frankie and Bennys.
Monday back to Alton Towers a fabulous day. The waehter was rain, rain and more rain. But that just amde the day even more fabulous as there was no quequeing at all for the rides. Air which Becka said to me mum you'll love that one and after Rita every rollercoaster after that is tame. So after watching it for a while decided to go on it. I LOVED it ....so much so raced around to go on it again...which was easy as no Q's !! Enjoyed River Cayon which hubby loved as THIS time I was the one that got SOAKED! And hubby managed to talk in into going on Smilier and once again I loved it!! Went on other rides too and a wonderful walk around the gardens. Ended the day with a delicious meal back at the hotel.
Tuesday as the wether was rain yet agin went to Wrest Park and then Luton shopping mall in the afternoon. Ending the day with a wionderful meal at Frankie and Bennys.
Wednesday --woohoo nice weather so off to Whipsnade zoo, this time hubby drove around. Had a great time there ending the day at Lakeside for a meal at Bella Italia. Then Home Sweet Home!
So an absolutely fabulous time really enjoyed it now just going through all the photos, now as quickly as I hoped as the decorating needs doing after our 'flood' due to a pipe coming off our drinking water tap during the night, but I must say the study and utility room are starting to take shape and are looking great. Becka has been enjoying helping lay a wooden floor and today paper hanging.
