Thank you all for your encouraging comments helped me through a most terrifying time.
On the road to a good recovery now with the bone realigned with a plate and screws. Now just nervous that my wrist will never be the same and will always have some sort of pain. Overthinking as I always do. Then again why am I worrying cause I'm getting to that age of aches and pains anyway 😂
Your wrist will heal quickly now it is screwed and plated and, in a few weeks, it will be as good as new. Keep eating the chocolates and look on the bright side, no housework for four weeks.
@onewing thank you that image was interesting. And comforting to know no pain. But I guess I will feel some awkwardness/ discomfort when it comes to physio. But will ease after a month then back to normal. That’s if I was ever normal 🤣
@bizziebeeme My advice would be don't overdo the physio. They always want you to do more than you really should and if it starts to hurt stop the physio. I just told them I was doing my exercises even though I didn't overdo it. I guess my nose will grow telling porkies ha ha but it will all come back on its own.
I had surgery for a fractured wrist in 2015 and here is a link to what it looked like after surgery.
