Our tiny community of Dixon boasts two barrooms. This is the popular one. The other (which not many people frequent) sits directly behind our home. Many of you might call this a "pub", but I am guessing that your pubs have much more character and atmosphere than most "bars" here in the USA. On a side note... There was a shooting outside of the Cantina a few weeks ago in the middle of the night. Two people's were shot, one so seriously that LifeFlight was called in . Though the bar is only a few blocks from our home, Ken and I heard nothing at the time...not even the helicopter!
Good you didn’t hear anything, you would have been very alarmed. Gun shots in the night is nit good. Our bars vary but yes most have a good bit of character, either that or they are very modern, or run down & shabby
