A Somewhat Sad Sight...

Another pond we pass by frequently has dried up considerably. The dark area in this photo is where the water has receeded. We had an extremely hot and dry summer, so I presume that's why this is happening. 🥺 Thankfully, we are now getting a fair amount of rain, which I hope will reverse this, at least somewhat...

Wonderful capture but too bad the ponds are drying up. We have been in a 3 year drought now with many stock ponds bone dry.

We're in the process of refilling the ponds and lakes and reservoirs - but also the roads, railway lines, shops - and houses!

It's a very sad sight. Many of our lakes and streams have dried up. I hope this isn't a permanent change.
