My husband saw the moon rising and said I should hurry to get a photo. I took several! This one was the best. I was amazed at how quickly it rose! In this photo it was nearly above the horizon. I liked the shadows of the trees on the lower left and the cloud seen in the upper portion.

Yes, if you're wanting a big moon with some colour against some interest on the horizon, you can't believe how speedily it shoots into the sky!
