@illinilass I am copying and pasting a thank you I sent to @skipt007 in response to a beautiful prayer he posted for us. It will bring you up-to-date with how things are for us currently!
Abundant thanks, Skip! Your prayer was so appreciated and on target. Ken is no longer getting in-home physical therapy. We are waiting (hoping) for the VA to approve his going to outpatient therapy half an hour from our home where they have exercise machines like NuStep. Ken feels that might strength his legs more then the therapy he was receiving here at home. I pray he is right about that, because his legs haven't really regained any strength in all these months since his back surgery. Thank you for praying for his body, mind, and spirit! I have become concerned that there may be a slight onset of dementia. He also is having episodes of shortness of breath (no pain, though) which interfere with his sleep (and mine). Your prayers for me were so perfect! I have been overwhelmed and disheartened quite a lot recently. Physically tired but really, more worn down mentally and emotionally! So, again, my heartfelt thanks! I hope to post a photo or two later today. I have really missed having regular involvement here with my great 365 community!
I'm sorry things have not been going well with Ken's recovery. I hope the VA approves outpatient PT. Praying for you both. It is not easy being a caregiver, especially when you've had your own health problems.

Sorry to hear you are both going through such a difficult time. Keeping you and Ken in my prayers.
