My husband noticed these two robins in our yard this morning. So, I hurriedly changed to my longer lens and stepped outside, hoping not to scare the off in the process. Wish they were in a bit better focus. Anyway...at first I thought it was a male and female mating, but then saw it was actually two males fighting. Never saw that before! This is my touch of red for today in the Rainbow challenge.
I am surprised since I’ve started bird-watching, how often I see birds squabbling and fighting. Interesting behavior. Nice group of photos and hooray for signs of Spring.
@amyk Thank you, Amy! We have between 10-15 sparrows at our feeder multiple times each day and they do get a little "pushy" with each other. It's a war when the hummingbirds are here. lol
