Since this is the first week back at school here in Edmonton, I thought I would highlite some of the post seconday schools in the city.
This is Alberta College. Located downtown, this college has it's beginnings going back as far as 1903 when it was formed by the Rev. T. C. Buchanan as a Methodist Training College
The first building was built in 1904 and went through several additions before it was torn down in 1961. A new building was opened in 1964.
I am not sure exactly when this new building was opened. They did manage to keep the arch from the old building and it sits just west of the new college. It has changed over the years and it is no longer a Methodist College
I will be away for a couple of days as it is the long weekend here in Canada and I have been asked to take photographs for the 50th wedding celebration of some family friends.
Happy Labour Day Weekend every one
