Procrastanation

Do not put off until today what you should have done two months ago. Back on Aug. 2/11 I took a picture of the south lawn of the Legislative grounds. I said that during the winter it became a skating rink.
I had good intentions to take a picture of it this winter and it was one of those things I kept putting off until today.
The problem is that with all the beautiful weather we have been having the ice is getting quite soft and as a result it is now closed.
So you will have to use your imagination and picture a huge crowd of people skating around enjoying themselves.
Anyway here is the south lawn as a skating rink.
While we were down here we took in a tour of the Legislative Building so this week join me as I share the tour with you

Boy do I understand. There was a really cool silo standing out in a field near here that I kept telling myself I was going to go shoot. When I finally got around to going, it was gone! So, now I will pretend I see skaters on your rink with the Skater's Waltz from a Charlie Brown Christmas playing in my head!

I think it is great that the City opens up this area for skating. I can imagine it is well used and very much enjoyed.

Your next picture of the south lawn will be of Spring with the flowers popping up in all sorts of colours. ;o)
