Parade Day

On my way to work I saw this lady with three little ones who were getting ready for today's parade. Today was the first day of our Capital Ex. which is our annual Exhibition. It starts with a parade which organizers were hoping to see 200,000 plus people out to
This little group was getting an early start as they had about 1 1/2 hours to wait for the start of the parade. It was cloudy when I took this shot and in fact about 10 minutes after I took it the skies opened up and it poured rain very hard for about 5 minutes. Hopefully they all had an umbrella to keep themselves nice and dry.
Tomorrow night we are going out with some friends to the Shakespeare in the Park Festival which is a first for us

Rain? We must be the only one's in Canada without rain. Today, FINALLY we had rain. We are in a level 2 drought situation and today after weeks and WEEKS without rain, we got 20 minutes of heavy rain complete with a mini-tornado (if there is such a thing:) We've been on and off with power...crazy weather here!
