Commonwealth Recreation Centre

Day three of my holiday and we decided to go on a driving tour of the McCauley neighbourhood. This is the Commonwealth Stadium Recreation Centre. The stadium itself was built for the 1978 Commonwealth Games that were held in Edmonton. It did have a small rec centre at the south end of the stadium. In 2009 the City and the Edmonton Eskimos, which is the football team that plays in the stadium, decided to build a much needed and improved rec centre.
It opened last spring and this was the first time I was inside of it.
