Then and Now.....Hotel and Office Tower

So here is one look into Edmonton's past. The top shot shows the Windsor Hotel which opened in 1903. In 1913 under new ownership it became the Selkirk Hotel. It continued to operate until 1962 when it was severely damaged in a fire. Within a couple of years the Royal Bank opened the 15 floor tower seen in the bottom
This story however was not finished. Several years ago Fort Edmonton Park rebuilt a replica of the hotel. Not only is it an attraction in the park but the public can book rooms and actually spend an evening there
