Then and Now......A Few Changes

One last then and now shot for awhile.
Here we see the Canada Permanent Building in the top picture. Built in 1910 it was hailed as Edmonton's premier loan institution of its day.
As you can see a lot has changed over the years including the addition of the McLeod Building next door to it which opened in 1915
Today the Canada Permanent Building sits empty waiting for a new use. One thing for sure is the building is protected by historical status from being torn down
Wow, it looked so imposing in the top picture. Now, it gets lost next to the tall buildings on the block.
