Today Mark's the 75th Anniversary to the end of World War ll in Europe. It was on this day in 1945 that Sir Winston Churchill took to the radio to announce the surrender of Germany.
To honor this event l made my way downtown to Sir Winston Churchill Square. The statue of Churchill is located on one corner of the square. Across the way is the Edmonton Cenotaph.
This my tribute to mark this occasion and to remember all of those who served in the war
Stirring monuments to a significant day. Hopefully, those with their hands on the reins right now remember some of this history to help guide their decisions.
