Well we are two weeks into phase one of reopening things here in Alberta. We still have a ways to go and there are still many things closed to the public.
One of those is the High Level Bridge Streetcar. This Streetcar runs from this location in Old Strathcona to the Legislative Grounds on the Northside.
It will be nice when more things return to normal
Lovely picture. I like the "tram". At least at your end they are in the process of opening.
It doesn't look like that at all here... just opening up all departments of the grocery store sounds good already... non-essential isles are still closed and I'm running out of thread for my quilt and other sewing projects :(
It would be fun riding the streetcar, little steps probably mean we can get back to normal quicker.
Thanks for the follow, I have always wanted to visit Canada one day.
Lovely street car. Our govt. has taken the risk to open most of the establishments this week even though we are being warned all the time by the health authorities to be very wary.
A super shot of this lovely streetcar! Restrictions are slowly being lifted here, but there are still quite a lot of new cases of Covid 19 each day so I hope we are not reopening too quickly.
There once was a tram in the town where I live, over a century ago now; it lasted all of four years - it jumped the track when going downhill towards the harbour and fell 30 feet off a cliff. Not surprisingly it was promptly discontinued!
Nice shot- we have moved from a red phase to a yellow phase which has allowed some small businesses to open- but not the hair salons or restaurants. Their day will come but I hope it's soon. I think our area will be hit with an economic depression since these businesses cannot maintain their expenses without customers.
@happysnaps Valerie l am sure you would enjoy this one. We actually have one that used to operate in Melbourne. I will have to find a picture of it and post that one
@olivetreeann Ann most retail businesses and restaurants were allowed to open on May 15. However many still chose to remain closed. Hair salons are open. The next phase is set for June 19

I so enjoy riding in Streetcars...we don't have any here but, have ridden on quite a few in other places.
