The brick building nicknamed the Beaver House was the storage warehouse for the Hudson Bay Department Store. The nickname was a connection to the Furtrade that built the Hudson Bay Company into the huge business it became. The large entrance at the back of the building allowed the company to park boxcars from the railway inside in order to be protected from inclement weather while being unloaded
A lovely pair of shots, and great history. I particularly like the contrast between the brick building with the modern tower in the background in the left hand shot - fav!
