I have put bird food out again, after months without it, as recommended since there were horribly contagious bird diseases. I put out sunflower hearts in this tray, also a suet block and a mealworm block. I think I will not put out the millet as the sparrows root around and knock most of it to the ground where the dogs feast on it. Three good things:
1. It only took a couple hours for the birds to find it.
2. I was enjoying the red-bellied and downy woodpeckers so much, I forgot to get the camera out (and then they promptly took off)(but it may have been the barking)
3. Got all my errands done before lunch, now have a free afternoon
Love,y to see your birds & they will be relieved they can have a lovely feed again. We have bird flu in the UK at the moment & all hens & birds have to be housed indoors.
