We have three young squirrels in the garden at the moment, but two play together and look more red.. and this one is all alone.
I have no idea if this is 'our' squirrel that my other half and I helped a bit ( http://365project.org/blightygal/365/2010-05-17) as they do seem to look alike!! I've studied the old photo's and the markings around the eyes are similar, and she also climbed back up the cherry tree, the same route baby squirrel did when she left us and seems to be living there. I can only hope and my gut feeling says she is... even though my better half doesnt agree!
This one has a big chunck out of its tail sadly, I hope there is enough to keep her warm in the winter as they curl their tails around them when asleep.. but she didnt seem to care much while hiding nuts in the lawn. I never thought I would like squirrels so much!
Let's believe all our hopes and wishes came true! It's so nice to see a squirrel update from you, and to hear you've got several in your yard. I never expected I'd find squirrels so appealing before I went looking to them for photo opportunities. I just know you'll have a lot of people here happy to see your newest photo!
