I have a confession... am not keen on Christmas! lol. Not liked it since about the age of 15 I guess and they were always pretty rubbish in our house.
Posted this to try and make myself feel more Christmassy, ha ha. I LOVE chosing suitable presents for people and giving them but thats where it ends. The decorations, the preparations, cooking, well, its all a lot of effort for not much!! I asked my OH if we could go away next year somewhere hot to escape it all but I doubt he will want to, he loves tradition.
Oh, more rambles.. shot this so the sun was reflected in the hand, then added a totally OTT lens flare with photoshop because of the theme. Not gonna tag tho for two reasons, its naff and its cheating!
Yeah but we love it!! Funny you know...it could do with out Christmas too. I find it quite a sad time. Too many fond memories and too many absent friends. I'll come with you somewhere hot for Christmas...yay!!
I don't like the hot during Christmas, I like the holiday a lot, except the decorating, don't get me wrong, I love it when they are up, but its the taking down of the everyday stuff, putting that somewhere, taking the xmas decorations out, setting them up, and then no matter how hard I try, after I put everything back, I always seem to miss one xmas decoration. Go figure. I even like the snow, except once the holidays are over, so to can the snow be over.
Anyway, try and enjoy, nice photo, cheating or not, nowadays most photos are cheated anyway, I find it hard to believe that all those entries in the theme are socc with real flare, most of them maybe, all of them, doubtful!
I'me with you re christmas and have managed a few times to get away to somewhere hot . This year I am going to try and ignore it and just do my thing! Lovely shot by t he way
I agree, Christmas can be very difficult. When the kids are gone and you feel there is nothing to take their place, and the expectations and demands are so high, it can be depression........going away is a great alternative.
Ok, I like this photo but I am in love with the new ID photo with the squirrel dressed up like Santa. The best! This made me laugh. I don't decorate and go to friends who do up the holidays. I can identify.
